This Privacy Policy explains how Builder Vantage ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with our products and services, including JobBox, Foresight, and any related websites, applications, or tools (collectively, the "Services").

This policy applies to buildervantage.ai, app.buildervantage.ai, and all Builder Vantage product pages. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here. This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

• Account information — your name, business name, email address, and, if you choose to provide it, a phone number.
• Billing information — subscriptions are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe collects and stores your payment card details directly. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers.
• Support and correspondence — the contents of emails, support requests, and other messages you send us.

Information from your connected accounts

• JobTread data — when you connect your JobTread account, we access job, task, document, schedule, and cost data as needed to provide the Services.
• Forwarded documents — when you forward invoices, receipts, or vendor bills to JobBox, we process the contents of those emails and their attachments.

Information collected automatically

• Usage and device data — IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, referring pages, and timestamps.
• Cookies and similar technologies — see Cookies and Analytics below.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services
• Process invoices, receipts, and job data, and generate AI-assisted extractions and recommendations
• Create and manage your account and authenticate your access
• Process payments, manage subscriptions, and handle billing
• Respond to your questions and provide customer support
• Send service-related notices, such as billing, security, and product updates
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
• Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

We use AI and machine learning to process the documents and job data you submit in order to extract information and surface recommendations. We do not use your business data to train publicly available AI models.

3. Text Messaging and Mobile Information

If you provide a mobile phone number to us — for example, when you create an account, contact support, or expressly opt in to receive text messages — we may use it to send you messages related to your account and the Services, such as service notifications, security alerts, appointment or onboarding coordination, and support replies.

Where we send text messages, the following applies:

• Providing consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service.
• Message frequency varies depending on your account activity and the type of messages you have agreed to receive.
• Message and data rates may apply. Charges are determined by your mobile carrier and are your responsibility.
• You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. You may reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at the email address below.
• After you reply STOP, we will send a single confirmation message and then stop sending non-essential text messages to that number.
• Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how our websites are used. We also use the following third-party analytics and advertising technologies on our marketing pages:

• Google Analytics — to measure website traffic and understand how visitors navigate our pages.
• Meta Pixel — to measure the performance of our advertising and to understand which pages visitors reach.

These providers may set their own cookies and collect device and usage information subject to their own privacy policies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and adjust your Meta ad preferences in your Meta account settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of our websites function.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers — companies that perform services on our behalf, including hosting, payment processing (Stripe), analytics, email delivery, customer support, and messaging platforms. They may access information only as needed to perform their work for us.
• Connected platforms you authorize — when you connect JobTread, or choose to push data onward to a platform such as QuickBooks, we exchange data with that platform at your direction. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
• Legal requirements — when we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, subpoena, or valid legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Builder Vantage, our customers, or others.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this policy or notify you of any material change.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you cancel your account, you may request deletion of your data and we will delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it by law.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and limiting employee access to what is needed to operate the Services. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at the email address below.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to correct inaccurate information, to request deletion, and to receive a copy of your information in a portable format. You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

You can also:

• Update your account and contact details from within your account settings
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link at the bottom of those emails
• Stop text messages by replying STOP, as described in Section 3

We will continue to send you essential service and billing communications while your account remains active.

9. Children's Privacy

The Services are intended for business use by individuals who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-Party Websites

Our websites and Services may link to third-party sites and services that we do not control, including JobTread, Stripe, and QuickBooks. This policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review their privacy policies before providing them with information.

11. Users Outside the United States

Builder Vantage operates in the United States, and the information we collect is stored and processed there. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify you by email or through the Services before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
